Since middle school, I've been fascinated by computer graphics, particularly when they're set into motion. Whether I was creating animated gifs (that’s “gifs” with a hard “g”) for my AIM buddy icon, making assets in Paint Shop Pro 4.12 for my friend's video games, or recreating scenes from The Matrix in Anim8or, it was clear that my interest in digital art and animation was just beginning.

I graduated from The Art Institute of Portland with a B.F.A. in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics. I'm now a principal product designer at Microsoft, leading storytelling & interaction for Microsoft Calendar and Microsoft Places. My past experience spans 2D / 3D animation, compositing, mobile design / prototyping, and interaction design. I've had the privilege to work with some great companies, including Microsoft, Citizen (now EY Design Studio), Wongdoody, Very True Story, World Famous, Mode Adjust, Juliet Zulu, and Sockeye. I've been fortunate enough to work on projects for Google, Amazon, Nike, Adidas, Intel, Adobe, AT&T, T-Mobile, Cigna, ADP, and Hitachi.

When I'm not working, I like to travel around the world with my wife Yuchia and record an unnecessary amount of 4k video.
